Precise Transaction Performance Management (TPM) tracks the path of transactions from end-to-end, storing both the business context and performance details from each tier to the Precise Performance Management Database (PMDBTM). By correlating these requests with the files, devices, or disks being accessed, Precise enables:

Business storage tiering for EMC storage arrays
Our Storage Tiering Optimizer feeds PMDB data into models of EMC performance. This allows us to predict the impact data migration to different EMC storage tiers (SATA or EFDs) and recommend strategies to maximize business transaction performance at the lowest cost.
