Precise for J2EE/.NET
Precise for J2EE/.NET, or Precise for Middle-tier, lets you manage the performance of your application tier. It provides you with the tools necessary to proactively monitor, diagnose, detect, and correct performance problems before they become visible in your applications.
The following application servers are supported:
- J2EE including, but not limited to, JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic and Websphere
- Microsoft .NET
Precise for Middle-tier can help IT staff pinpoint bottlenecks caused by HTTP presention logic, calls to web services, EJB business logic (J2EE), JDBC database calls (J2EE) and ADO.NET database calls (.NET). Precise for Middle-tier also monitors custom, home-grown application components and other third party libraries, concurrent load and memory usage.
Precise for Middle-tier correlates data in many ways. For example, application components and database requests are correlated with end user requests to give IT staff a unique understanding of application performance and scalability in terms of end user demands. Precise for Middle-tier correlates application components with database activity to isolate bottlenecks between the mid-tier and the database tier. Precise for Middle-tier can tell IT staff what SQL Statements or stored procedures were called from each Service Request, and how long it each took to complete. In addition, Precise for Middle-tier automatically ranks contributors to response time and other performance metrics. IT staff can use these rankings to quickly drill down to the root cause of a problem.
