BOSTON, MA, September 29, 2009 - BEZ Systems, the leading provider of Predictive Performance Management (PPM) solutions, today announced immediate availability of BEZVisionTM 3.4. BEZVision is a unique, next generation software solution that automatically uses existing Teradata performance metrics to predict future application or workload service breaches, months before they would likely occur. BEZVision "what-if" capabilities model changes in Teradata environments to help insulate service delivery from the constant changes created by mergers, acquisitions, service consolidations, capacity shifts, new applications or other significant events.

According to Brian Doyle, BEZ vice president of product services, "BEZVision 3.4 continues our strong commitment to the Teradata platform by adding support for the latest Teradata version (V 13.0) along with Teradata specific features to make it easier for users to gather data and produce meaningful results. This release expands the profiling and predictive capabilities of BEZVision to include the Teradata storage subsystem. BEZVision users will now be able to evaluate workload or application storage requirements to ensure that the most important applications are receiving the optimal resources to achieve business goals".
Other new customer-driven features include:
BEZVision users realize a strong return on investment in a variety of ways, including: reducing hardware costs by eliminating unnecessary upgrades, reducing system downtime by avoiding surprise outages, and reducing the time and number of people required for new application implementations.

- An Historical Data Load Utility that allows Teradata customers to load the BEZVision repository with previously collected historical data and reduce the time and effort from BEZVision installation to initial analysis and results
- Support for PostgreSQL 8.3 as a BEZVision repository eliminating a previous requirement for an Oracle repository and its associated license and fees
