BEZ/OraPub Webinar download
We had good attendance at the BEZ/OraPub webinar last week. It’s always challenging to present so much information in such a short period of time. Our goal is always to get people thinking and curious about how application and database issues impact their lives and what they can do about them now -- before they become major problems that get in the way of advancing the business.
For those of you that missed it, here’s some information you may find helpful.
Here is a link for the slides:
(You'll notice that there are several product screen shots in place of the live demo)
Also, the webinar was recorded and is available on-demand from our website:

Webinar contents
During the first half of this one hour session, globally recognized Oracle guru, trainer and OraPub founder, Craig Shallahamer explains the importance and practical application of forecasting and predictive analysis to today's pressing IT challenges.
As part of his OraPub responsibilities, Mr. Shallahamer teaches an increasingly popular course entitled Oracle Forecasting & Predictive Analysis. This course focuses on the practical application of proven predictive analysis which is applied during:
- Server consolidation
- Alternative hardware analysis
- Expected and unexpected workload change
- New and revised SQL inclusion, and RAC.
The course also provides an understanding of systems limits coupled with the knowledge to predict performance and risk while decreasing downtime, eliminating perpetual fires, and increasing your overall IT return on investment.
The second half of the webinar will be provided by Brian Doyle, vice president of customer engineering, BEZ Systems. Brian will reinforce many of the same challenges while providing an overview of how BEZVision?, with built-in predictive analytics, can be used today to address both near and longer term application performance issues, including:
- Viewing application and database performance through a business lens
- Automatic "set and forget" performance predictions
- What if analysis - How you can model test results from a non-production environment in a production setting, without the hardware!
