This new optional NMS component has entered Beta. We have created an allnew Layer2 and Layer3 discovery and management tool for NMS. Simply install RCA & Topology Manager and it will integrate with your existing NMS deployment out of the box.
Then let it discover your Network and Servers and create a Topology map of your infrastructure. As you build out your environment then via SDP layer your own customized maps behind your topology maps to customize for your users so they understand their network and device locations.
With your network and devices mapped RCA & Topology Manager can then start to analyze alerts and relate them connected devices so when you have a problem you are able to drill to the actual problem device and easily filter out the noise of the associated alarms.

Building Probe Templates - editing CFX files
Most Nimsoft probes are written with configuration files that can be edited with a text editor such as notepad or wordpad. Editing these probe configuration files can save you time when creating probe templates and gives you another option in configuring probes in the Nimsoft archive without using a GUI.
You may have experienced a situation in which you need to deploy the same probe configuration to multiple robots. One way to accomplish this is configure a probe on a robot using the probe's GUI. After configuring the probe, you can drag and drop the probe back into the NMS archive, where it can be renamed and basically saved as a probe template. This new template can now be applied to other robots.

We have been hard at work and have created an allnew advanced report writing component as an optional add-on to NMS, The Nimsoft Unified Reporter. This report writer comes with over 75 out of the box reports ready to go. Many top 10 or bottom 10 type reports that you can run day one.
Plus it comes with a dynamic report writer that allows you to create and customize your reports, create and publish templates and set up reports to be run in real-time or offline and sent out via email.
During this session we will unveil this new product and demo it to you and allow you to ask questions via chat. We will also explain how you can download and take a Unified Reporter test drive in your own NMS environment.
